Financial Year Pay Period Schedule July – December 2024

As you directly employ your own chosen Support Workers, we have some important information to share with you, as recently announced by various regulatory bodies.

  • The Fair Work Commission has announced a 3.75% increase to the minimum wage and minimum award wages.
  • The Fair Work Ombudsman has published a 4% increase to base wages under the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services (SCHADS) Award, effective from the first full pay period starting on, or after 1 July 2024.
  • As per the Australian Taxation Office schedule, the Superannuation Guarantee Charge will increase from 11% to 11.5%, effective from the first pay run on or after 1 July 2024.

What does this mean for you, our Partner?

As your payroll and compliance provider, Carer Solutions will manage these changes on your behalf.

Here’s how:

  • For all Partners, the relevant SCHADS increase will be applied for your Support Workers. It will take effect on, or after Monday 8 July 2024 being the start of the first full pay period on or after 1 July 2024.
  • Carer Solutions will apply the scheduled increase to the Superannuation Guarantee Charge in the first pay run on, or after Monday 1 July 2024.

We have also updated our pay schedule for the remainder of the year.
