Over the past month, our team has been out and about, forging new bonds, reconnecting with current Partners, and celebrating milestones that make our work so rewarding.

Carer Solutions on the road – July & August

Here’s are some of the highlights:

Toowoomba

In a world increasingly dominated by automation, we pride ourselves on our human first approach and going the extra mile – literally. Chloe, who is our Queensland Partnership Manager, made the trip to Toowoomba to sign up Trish and onboard her three Support Workers.

Their morning together was a blend of coffee, cake, and conversations about Trish’s journey living with Cerebral Palsy.

Trish is thrilled to step into the role of ‘the boss,’ as she affectionately puts it. With her newfound ability to ensure her team are well-supported, Trish is now set-up and ready to take the reins.

Tasmania

Tasmania has been our main destination over the past few weeks, where the team visited Launceston, Hobart and Huon Valley. It was a wonderful opportunity to reconnect with our Partners and strengthen our relationships with Industry friends. We had the pleasure of meeting with HR+ and Maxima, who kindly hosted us for an informative session with their community.

A special highlight was Jane’s meeting with Brian Mitchell MP, the local member for Lyons. We discussed the crucial role Carer Solutions plays in regional areas, and Brian’s strong regional focus resonated with our mission. Brian has agreed to help us advocate on key issues.

Finally, we had a productive discussion with the City of Hobart about some exciting opportunities on the horizon. Stay tuned for more on that!

Bendigo

As the home to many of our Partners, Bendigo remains close to our hearts. This month, we immersed ourselves in the local community, including attendance at the One Community Ready-Set-Connect kids events.

Bendigo friends, we’d love to hear from you – let us know if you fancy a cuppa and a chat. We’re always looking for an excuse to visit!

Celebrating Source Kids: A Decade of Dedication

In July, we also had the honour of celebrating a major milestone with our wonderful friends at Source Kids. Led by the inspiring Emma Price, Source Kids marked their 10th birthday in a room brimming with love, admiration, and respect.

Our founder, Jane, penned a heartfelt piece reflecting on our decade-long relationship. You can read Jane’s tribute here – You can read Jane’s tribute here.
